Upper Cave

This is a good beginner vertical cave. A drop of approximately 60 feet into a large dusty room. Miners had tried to do something with it. All evidence is now long gone but I recall seeing some frame work around the entrance years ago. Inside the cave are some nice spar and rose-quartz crystals as well as calcite growths. What makes the cave unique is a long hand dug tunnel in a passage that had been filled with silt thousands of years ago. This tunnel is a remarkable feat of persistence as it was once major passage way to other parts of the cave. There is a nice fossil to be found along the way.
